Handcrafted items sell mostly in craft fairs, or at a community bulletin board, but since you mentioned photos I think you might want to sell them online.

You could post an ad on craigslist.org to sell some locally, or you could set up an account on www.etsy.com and sell on there. I don't reccommend ebay because handcrafted items don't sell very well there.

And yes, as with selling ANYthing online, you must have detailed pictures.People won't buy something without being able to see it first. You should post a photo of each different birdhouse along with a detailed description of the work you put into it, pricing, sizing, etc.

Good luck!

I know it's time consuming but you will have more luck selling your items if there is a picture included. When I'm looking for something on ebay I usually don't even stop at the items without pictures. You could upload them all to one place and provide a link so people can view them all at once. Number them and the customer could tell you which one they want. Mother's day is coming. This would be an excellent time to start! I would love to see them!

You kind of have to have photos because people need to be able to choose the one they want from what you have available.

One way would be to post them all on a web page, then have a paypal "buy now" button for each one. Then you could also offer an option where the customer could email you to reserve their choice, and you would hold it for X number of days til a check or money order is received.

Pictures would help because everyone different tastes for items. I ti would also help to maybe sell faster if they look really nice. You can use Craigslist to seel them that is a free site.
