It was a storyline to sell the movie See no Evil also to remind people that was the date he got burned since some people may have forgotten and also they needed aa storyline for the second kane kinda like the imposter taker they did years ago.

The backstory of Kane was that his brother, the Undertaker, burned down the family home when they were children, killing the remainder of the family and leaving Kane burned. The blaze was written as to have occurred on May 19th.
However, when Kane unmasked a few years ago, his burning was revealed to never have actually happened and it was rather psychological scarring that had caused him to hold onto that thought for all these years :)

may 19th was the day his film see no evil came out, the writters tried to tie it into a story line where may 19th was the day he was in the fire, and the imposter kane was a hulusination (cannie spell sorry) like a flashback of his former self.

May 19th was the day "SEE NO EVIL" came out
he was "burned" that same day and he didnt want the movie to premire on the day he got "burned" a couple yrs back

i think it was a way to get people to want to buy "see no evil" because, that is when it was out in theaters. Also, supposely i think it was because he was burned by fire on that date or something. i remember hearing kane and undertaker (brothers) as young boys, there was a fire and kane had got burned.

May 19th was the day that see no evil came out . It was also suppost to be the day that he got burned in the fire but it was never wrotie that way.
