iv got the old sims and i recently installed 'the sims','sims living it up', 'sims house party' and 'the sims superstar'. it works brilliantly except there is no sound. i have checked my computer and it is using a sound card and i have gone into sound settings on the game but it does not show how to switch sound on and off....anyone got any ideas as to how i can get the sound to work?

I could be possibly turned down in the game. You should try and go to the menu settings in your play mode. Its like the 3 dots button and settings I believe...sometimes it does that for some weird reason :S Hope that helps!!

go on google videos or something to see if the sound works on your pc. speakers in the right place? Or if the game is very jerky, your pc has not got enough memory to handle the sound.

the sound doesn't work without cd, even if the game does, but it could also be something went wrong while installing the program.
you coluld try and uninstall and than install again!!

Since you have installed a lot of expantion packs maybe your computer doesn't have enough room for all of it even though it runs well.

try actually turning on the volume on your computer
