I have no simliar job experience in the job field I am applying for. Is it best to leave out my previous jobs and just include my education background?

Hmm. First, I'd brush up on basic English skills - it's "irrelevant", not "unrellevant". You may want someone to proofread your resume, to make sure such errors don't end up on it.

As for including previous work experience, I say include it, but highlight the aspects that *do* apply to the position you are going for. At the restaurant, did you manage people? Manage schedules? Juggle responsibilities? There are probably lots of skills you employed there that would be a benefit for the new position.

I'd include it. Especially if you are at an early point in your career, employers will want to see that you have held down a job. If it relates, then list it and list the kinds of skills you gained from it (customer service, management experience, etc). If it doesn't relate, just list it and the years you worked there. If other than that all you have is a degree, then DEFINITELY list it. You will want to prove you have worked in the past and can work in the future and it will look good if you worked during college when many college grads don't bother.

It depends on what kind of work you are targeting. If you do not feel any past work experience woudl benefit your ability to ge tthe interview then no, leave it out. There is no rule that says you must include every job you've ever held.
