are pictures of items to be sold necessary?

have many handcrafted indoors birdhouses to be sold. not one the same. how to go about selling these?

You kind of have to have photos because people need to be able to choose the one they want from what you have available.

One way would be to post them all on a web page, then have a paypal "buy now" button for each one. Then you could also offer an option where the customer could email you to reserve their choice, and you would hold it for X number of days til a check or money order is received.

If you mean through e-bay, pictures atract customers.
If you mean through your own website, pictures are not optional, since people usually will only buy something like that when they know what it looks like.

If the varriations are minor things caused by them being handcrafted or through their wood type, one picture is fine. It they are truely differnt, each one needs a picture.
