Look for the good in people and you'll truly find it! Remember, you aren't all that different from everybody else and everybody else isn't all that different from you. :D
Granted, we all have different viewpoints about certain things; different opinions and thoughts and personalities....but all in all, we can all do something to help others out! We're all in this world TOGETHER! And there's a reason for that! And doesn't it make you happy to know that you can make YOURSELF the best that you can be? YOU can be the kind of person who brings joy to the kind of person who is experiencing the way you were just feeling.....dissatisfied. :D
I thought it was wonderful the other day.....we were in town and had to ask for directions several times....and though we were complete strangers....they had never seen us before in their life or we them--and yet, they were so friendly and took that time out to help us out! It was wonderful! And it really left an impression on me. Total strangers are your friends--even if you don't know them. People are there for you in this world, just as you would be there for them. :D
I'm not saying that there's not evil in this world, though. Look at the snipers and such....and I'm also not saying that you should overlook these things and just kind of toss it to the wind. No! But you can also realize that, yes, there are good people out there! People who want to have the world running smoothly just as you do and people who, sometimes, are in despair as you are--but we carry on--TOGETHER! :D
Hope this helped....don't give up! :D You're here for a reason! ;)
EDIT: Here, here! I agree completely with you about how men and women are both equal, Baby! Seriously...how could anyone think differently?
It really is hard to comprehend how the women of long ago were treated. And no, I am not out for "women to rule the world," if that's what you're thinking. But I'm also not out for "men to rule the world." Both males and females have thinking minds, their own thoughts and views, and we breathe the same air! The ignorant thought that some people have about one sex being better than the other has always bothered me--as it should everyone, I think! We're on this earth together to help one another out and women can enlighten men as well as men can enlighten women! Give it some thought a minute! Surely you can see my point!
I SEE the other point (men being better than women and vice versa) and I would almost say that I can't believe anyone would think that! However, I've been brought up around slightly biased people....i.e. men have say over certain things that women do not....or men have more authority over issues than women...
It's a saddening and disheartening thing to know that some people believe that men are better than women or women are better than men--very sad and very frustrating! As I said, I can SEE the other point, but I cannot accept it at all! Men and women are both equal! Oh, can't we all realize that?!

If you watch the news and get all of the world's bad news in 30 minutes...it sounds very disappointing indeed! However, the media doesn't like to report things that are good and decent. It just doesn't make the ratings! People are addicted to gore, death, and destruction.
Ask yourself...what can I do to help in my world? Maybe you can volunteer? Maybe you can join Big Brothers/Big Sisters and make a difference in a young persons life. Maybe you can help at the local animal shelter? There are tons of things YOU can do to improve your community.
As my dad always said to me....If you are not part of the solution....then you must be part of the problem.
Which one are you?

Getting yourself into? Did you create yourself?
If you don't approve than just live your life the way you want to...and be the change you wish to see in the world. Trying to change the world doesn't work unless you start with yourself. What you do, if it is honorable...will be contagious.
Above all! Love and make friends!

Start very small. As soon as you get the point at which you're not at all disappointed with yourself, get out and improve that part of the world that is closest to you.

I have to agree with native, run for office, if you can keep from accepting big brothers pay offs, then possibly you could change things. Your right though, it's one big disappointment, especially all of these illegal aliens, spitting on the American people, flying our flag upside down, working for cash and drawing welfare

Act in accordance to your beliefs. Most people in this world are followers, not leaders. If only one person follows your lead and makes the world a little better, you have succeeded.

You could do like the liberals, and just complain about everything without ever coming up with any ideas on how to fix things.
