It would be one thing if your man gave his opinion, like "I honestly prefer it long" but for him to continue blasting you for it is messed up. Is he perfect? Ask him how he would feel if you pointed out his flaws on a regular basis. Tell him you respect his opinion but it's just hair (not to mention YOUR hair you can do whatever you want with it!) and he should shut his trap.

My husband and I have gone around and around about my hair. He always wanted it long, straight, no layers. I always wore it short-med and often had it curly.
As of late I have great difficulty with all the up keep so I've grown it shoulder length and no more layers, but it is wavy. I like how I can put it up in a pony tail, back with a barrette or blow it out for an evening on the town.
Now he wants it to be the way it was when he met me - short & layered - go figure!
He looks good in a Marine Corp cut but he wont wear it that way. So I accept his choice.
In the end it is my hair, I am the one who has to take care of it (blow dry, style, etc).
I would tell her "Even though I prefer it longer, as long as you are happy with it, then that makes me happy"

Any man should know the "Magic Words" that keep a relationship intact. They are: "Yes Dear".
To the females....don't ask a question if you can't handle the answer!
Personally, I can see the logic of a woman cutting her hair short, but I prefer long hair to short. But it's safe to say, when asked AFTER THE FACT about this, it's too late to do anything about it, so I would tell her it looks great. This is a case of "don't sweat the small stuff".

My wife recently did get her hair cut short and I love it. However, I liked it OK "as is" and would have been OK if she'd wanted to leave it longer.
Regardless, I've always been supportive of that kind of thing and as long as it's nothing crazy or bizarre. I make a point of trying to avoid hurting her feelings if humanly possible and use the following rule to determine whether or not to say anything, "Does it really matter?"
If not, I'll say nothing or smile and nod politely. If it does matter, I'll tactfully say something to her about it.
For the most part, hair doesn't really matter to me. As such, I would seldom say anything.

You can answer the question tactfully. Even if you don't care for it short, ask her why she did get it cut. If she ask if you like it say that you will always love her. If she pushes the issue just tell her that you do prefer it long.
This past week-end I went from a light brown to a strawberry blond. I don't like it but husband does. Good luck.

I had hair all the way down to my waist and for some reason cout it all off short. My husband said "oh, i love it, you look great" then I let my hair grow out again, and when it got long he said he hated it short, but didn't want to hurt my feelings.

Yea, I'm going have to jump here for Valerie sack.
I, personally, think the long hair (down to her butt or waist) is soooo, sexy. Of course, that is not to say that I would give her gief over giving it cut shorter. Thro I would add but, I like it better before the cut. In hopes she would let it grow back out like one of the others member has done.
The longer the better(down to the butt or waist) for me;)

Depends if I want sex that night. If I don't say t right then, I will tell her at some point, probably during a fight. But that moment when a wife goes short is one of the most depressing momoents of a man's life, when he is reminded just how much it sucks to be married some times.
