She abused alcohol and cocaine. If she stopped will this cause damage?

sweetie some damage could have already been done.Although she really does need to stop because of future damage that can be done.She really needs to tell her Dr all of this so that they can run the proper tests to see if there is anything wrong with the baby, good luck

i am not giving her the ok to continue abusing alcohol and cocaine but I have known some people who have had perfectly healthy children after acusing these substances. However in other circumstances some people has had babies with birth defects which was linked to substance abuse. She needs to stop and turn her life around, not only for the benefit of the baby but also herself so she can take proper care of this child.

Cause damage to whom? The quickest she quit the easier it will be, if needed, to whine the baby off the drug. If she continues, there is a chance for many setbacks for the child, disabilities, or deformities. She needs to stop immediately and seek help if she is addictive, for the child's sake and her own.

As long as she stopped using drugs and alcohol the minute she found out she was pregnant things will probably going to be okay. Just make sure she has quit!

No one can know. She should stop now. How far along is the child? There is no crystal ball that can predict. She should tell her doctor and they can monitor the fetus closely.

she needs to stop now!! before it does, if she is early enough and stops right away she may be able to avoid any permanent damage.
