For elementary and middle school I chose public school, but for high school I chose a private boarding school for my oldest. When my younger children are old enough they will go to a boarding high school as well. Our public school system is fine, and I've had no problems with it in the younger grades, but for high school I wanted a school that was more geared towards my child's specific interests and needs, and I wanted him to have more opportunities and more one-on-one attention than a high school with over 1000 kids could provide.

Unless you live in a terrible school district, I think the choice ultimately comes down to your own personal preference.

I have been educated in private schools, except in college. I have always thought of the advantages and the lessons I could have learned earlier if I have been educated at a public school. I think it would be beneficial if you're child would experience both.

It depends on the school. There are some excellent public schools and private schools. Take a tour around the schools in your area and ask lots of parents what they think of the education their child is receiving.

well I went to a public school and I thought it was just fine. I dont know if you are thinking about a private school that teaches religion or not, but if you are not I would say send your child to public school and use the money you would spend on a private school to start a savings account for her college.

well im in school right now and i think their equal. i have went to public schools all my life. And now going to a private college next year. I have to say it all depends every school private or public has there own ups and downs. Like classes, sports, price, and people. Here alot og kids go to St. Marys a private catholic school. But when they get to high school transfer to public school. I think public school has one advantage over private school. That is being diverse like the real world. In the real world people all have their own style and taste. In private school that isn't shown and sometimes only certain people go to private school. Maybe people with money go there or people that live a certain place. In the end what matters is what you think is best for your child. And what you think would be the best atmosphere for him/her.

i know that some human beings imagine that inner most college is more beneficial useful, yet i do not truly see the version. I actually have a 8 year old. for 2 years her father and that i tried inner most college out. After both years we despatched her to public college. ( which she continues to be in now) And we easily like the prevalent public college more beneficial useful. the instructors are own and they care about the scholars. i did not see that on the own college. the instructors were like robots, very systematic. i got here across her unstimulated and constrained. i idea it replaced into undesirable. So she is way happier the position she is now, as am I. Take Care... I grew up with acquaintances that went to non-public college. dad and mom think of their young ones are staying faraway from drugs..... do not imagine so. I went to a public college and not in any respect said drugs there. yet my acquaintances that went to non-public college were all smoking pot because of the undeniable fact that they had a lot stress on them! the girls were also having more beneficial sex than the girls I went to varsity with. at the same time as young ones are constrained they experience forced to insurrection.

I HAVE GONE TO BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE,THERE ISNT THAT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE BUT IN PUBLIC SCHOOL(WHICH I LIKE BETTER) YOUR CHILD HAS A CHANCE TO INTERACT WITH A VERIETY OF CHILDREN NOT JUST THE ONES WHO CAN AFFORD TO ATTEND A HIGH SCALE PRIVATE SCHOOL.YOUR CHILD MAY NEVER KNOW HOW TO REACT AROUND DIFFERENT CHILDREN IN A LOWER SOCIAL CLASS.
