Yesterday, I found out that New Mexico has banned cockfighting. only one state left!! I am very very happy about it. What do YOU think?

I live in New Mexico.. and I am glad it has been banned.. Louisana is the only state left where it is legal..
I don't think it is going to completely stop the fights tho.. the penalites for the first and second offenses are pretty much a slap on the hand... It will force the fights to go undercover..
There is no penalty for those caught attending a fight.. only for the bird owners...
Lots and lots of money made on the fights...a cruel sport..
It may open up the sport even bigger south of the border in Mexico now.....

I think that is terrific. By the way, I was unaware that cockfighting was legal anywhere in the U.S. It's a shame that animal abuse exists in today's world. Hopefully whatever state hasn't banned this autrocity will do so soon.

YAY!!!! I am so happy the it is banned now they just need to enforce the penalties. I hate how some animal are treated.
