The stench is obscene. The waste of money is foolish. Why are adults still smoking, as if they have no brains whatsoever?
If farts smelled that bad, they would seek medical help.

Obviously the stench has a far greater impact on you than it does on them. They are so addicted to the nicotine that the negative impact on their finances is immaterial. Perhaps whether or not smoking impacts mental acuity has not been proven to their satisfaction. Since smoking decreases one's sense of smell, the odor would not impact them enough to seek medical attention.
As you can see, impact is a wonderful word that applies quite nicely to your question, both as a noun and a verb. Yes, I am American :-)

They taste really freakin good!!! I admit, I shouldn't have ever started cause I am hopelessly hooked now, but we are all a little stupid (ok, maybe a lot!!!) at 15 years old. However, cigarettes TASTE GOOD. Maybe not to you, but after a nice meal, or while taking a poo or after banging sex, I REALLY ENJOY IT!!! Why do you care anyway?
