Answer each question and provide REASONING for your answer.
Question 1:
You have been tied up by a psychopath who makes you an offer. He is going to either stab or shoot you. If you do not choose, he will slowly torture you to death.
You may choose either a butcher knife or a .45 caliber pistol. The psychopath gets to decide where to shoot, stab, or slice you, and he will be starting with your legs with both. Pistol or blade?

I would have to say the knife. The reason being that the psycho could not do it from across the room. He would have to be very close and in contact which might give me more opportunity to fight, disarm or injure him in some way

If death is inavoidable, the pistol, that's easy...However if I knew I had a chance of escaping or being rescued, I'd try my hardest not to sbo with pain and take the slicing, since it would talk longer for me to die, if he did cut any major arteries (why would he, he'd want to draw it out I'd assume) whereas the pistol after a few blows at close range woud just take me out.
I hope the theatrics before the question were just that, theatrics, either way you are a peculiar and ...'zealous' person to say the least. I look forward to more.

This is an odd question, but here is my answer.
I would chose the pistol. Why? Well for one even if he chooses where to stab you the knife could go in slowly as for with the pistol you pull the trigger and the bullet goes in quickly and with luck you'll go into shock and pass out or die before anything else could be done.

I would definitely choose the pistol. It would quicker to die that way then with a knife. Since he's going to kill me no matter what, and there's no chance for escape, my main concern would be me and my pain and suffering. I love myself enough to know that I "deserve" a quick death. Of course, being that he's a psychopath, he would disregard my feelings as he would have no empathy at all with what he did to me. I don't think it would really matter what I choose; it seems like it would be up to him to decide as you can't reason with a psycho, and I would die either way.

When you say he will START with your legs in either case, that obviously implies that he will then be moving on to other areas. Since either of these weapons, especially if you're shot/stabbed multiple times, will inflict fatal wounds by blood loss (even if he avoids the torso and organs altogether), you are basically being bled to death. (It's safe to assume that this maniac will not stab/shoot you 30 times and then rush you to a hospital to keep you from dying of blood loss.) So I would refuse to choose. I am going to be tortured to death regardless, be it by knife, pistol, or otherwise. Torture is torture.

I would choose the knife, because I would have the best chance of escaping from him. Unlike others I would cherish my life and would pick the most hopeful way to escape instead of giving up and choosing the fastest and least painful way. Even if this means longer or more painful suffering, at least I tried to live.

I would choose to be stabbed in a non-lethal spot, like the little toe of my left foot. You did not mention that the stab or shot would lead to death so I can assume that after the injury the psychopath might be 'obligated' to release me.

Do you pretend which you're being altruistic in the direction of your loved ones individuals, yet in basic terms by allowing yet another 25,000 to die? Is it a remember of religion, which you would be able to have faith his insurance? might God positioned all and sundry in that place? i think of i will sense like a crumb if I sent 25,000 extra people to their loss of life, for the sake of fifty,000 closer to domicile. Wow. haha. I actually enjoy your twisted sense of humor?
Anyway... both sound painful and I would probably die. So I would tell him to go ahead and torture me becuase with the loss of blood either from knife or gun wounds would hurt and probably kill me too. So I wouldn't be responsible for my death in anyway.

Are we talking 1 bullet or 1 stab? I would take the stab. People like you create a NEGITIVE INFLUENCE ON SOCIETY. YOU SHOULD GET YOU ACT TOGETHER WITH SOME GOALS, AND STAY OFF THE COMPUTER.
