Liriano has an elbow injury which he is most likely going to get season ending surgery for and might not start even in the 2008 season at the latest.

He will NOT pitch this year. He had Tommy John surgery. Both the team, and Liriano himself have both stated that he cannot pitch this year. He has a long recovery process. The question remains if he will ever be the same again (see Kerry Wood for details).

Cueto is the recent Liriano. yet another positioned up mentioned Cueto throws ninety 3-ninety 4. Why then replaced into he throwing ninety six the different nighttime? the speed of Liriano replaced into in keeping with pre-surgical technique ranges. it sort of sounds like in basic terms the day ahead of this (to me a minimum of) that Liriano replaced into the warm waiver cord pickup. Now he seems to three to be undroppable. Why? there is not any reason Cueto can no longer make the comparable sort of effect as Liriano this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, or a minimum of of Tim Lincecum who replaced into final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days's warm rookie. Liriano might or won't make an entire restoration this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. Cueto is a suitable prospect; he did no longer come out of nowhere. meaning plenty whilst comparing no remember if one overall performance is a fluke or no longer. i might area procedures with Liriano if Cueto is attainable.

I know him from here, Dom Rep, hsi injury is pretty bad, because he has the rotator of the shoulder injured, and that's something that your shoulder doesn't work full capacity agian.

He's still a bis promese for the team and the future of the game, the trouble is, if he will keep throwing that fascinating slider (the pitch that gave him all those wins and strikouts(. The problem of the slider is that if you use it too much your elbow starts malfunctioning as the shoulder also.

The took him into a Tommy Jones operation, which gets him healthier faster than usual, but he's expected to enter the league in mid summer 2007.

Hope this can clear out your question...

He won't pitch this season. He said he doesn't expect to be throwing off a mound until October.

he had Tommy John surgery pal he's done till '08. It takes about ten to 12 months to recover completely and get velocity back. '07 is a no go for this kid. hes young and thanks to the surgery he can still have a dominant time in the show.

progressing.....yes. pitching this year......no. Or if he does pitch, it will be late in the season and in very limited roles. His injury is serious.
