Java Server Pages (JSP) and JavaScript are not the same thing. They are not processed the same way. They're not even made by the same company.

In fact, "JavaScript" isn't a single entity; there are a couple different Mozilla versions floating around and Microsoft calls its version JScript. "JavaScript" is generally used to refer to ECMAScript, or any client-side Web scripting language.

So yes, they can both be used on the same page with no problems whatsoever.

No to one language; because JSP processing happens with the page still forming at the server while JavaScript (marketing name, true original name is LiveScript, no relation to Java) processing happens when page is loaded or in the process of being loaded on your workstation.

You should see no JSP code from the workstation's POV.

Dont know coding, then my advice isn't bypass for java. First you want to study java/jsp/servlets/tomcat/database (minimum) and a framework. in spite of in case you get some waiting code, you want some portion of customization, and calls for some coding information. There are few information superhighway hosting carriers who provides waiting templates to create figuring out to purchase facilated information superhighway website in minits.
