I think the world is just tired of the USA rubbing their collective noses in it. I'm an American and I think the best thing we could do for ourselves is just shut up for eighteen months. I don't think the US is bad or wrong, I just think we are absolutely horrible at international diplomacy. We should adjust our policy back to speak softly but carry a big stick.

U.S. super power status is threatened by the beltway parties "zero unemployment with price stability" vote buying agenda.
I'm a big fan of Alexander Hamilton, I support his notion of a "strong centralized Federal government". However, a strong central federal government does not mean running a welfare state. A welfare state makes the country weak, erodes our free markets, Federalism , and Independence.
The beltway parties are turning the U.S. into a welfare state that is inter-dependent on other welfare states.
With 70 million baby boomers about to retire, and a terrorist war raging, U.S. super power will be jeopardized.
Only if we return to sound policies, rooted in the sound principles of our super power ( capitalism, the Constitution, and sovereignty, checked and balanced against each other so none are sacrificed/compromised for sake of any other)
will our super power status be secure for the 21st century.

Big Business and China have the US under it's control, if it wants to save it's self from eventual economic and Cultural decay, it needs to attempt to return America to what it was when years ago, when the American Dream was possible and big business where not the rulers of it.

Don't count China out. They have natural resources at lease equal to ours. They have 4 times the population, are a nuclear power, a growing economy, even their own space program. To ignore them, to rest on our laurels and say that they will never catch up to the US, is the best way to ensure that they will catch up and even surpass us.
I'm not being anti American or pro China. I'm just pointing out reality.

I wish that was true but you are really naive to think that. Have you not noticed that we outsource too many jobs, we let people sneak in and then say "well that's ok...but just this once!", and our education system is a JOKE. I think we'll remain a superpower but to say we'll stay the sole one is just not realistic.

You do realize China is about to become the world's largest economic power, don't you?
And that we're in debt to them to the tune of somewhere between 850 billion to 1.3 trillion dollars(the feds play fast and loose with the numbers).
Or that in about twenty years we will be bankrupt because of the complete mismanagement of social security and medicare?

Read your history books, study the history of this planet...even the last couple hundred years. Take your head out of the sand, put down your flag and learn something.

Remember this:
America is great because America is good.
If America ceases being good,
America will cease being great.
Nothing is guaranteed.

Unfortunately, you're wrong. Even the Romans fell eventually and they were more dominant in their time than we are.
