It really depends how much space you really need. =)

If you have a GMail account, there is a Firefox extension that lets you use it as storage: http://www.getgspace.com

Or, you could use the GMail account like any other folder in your computer with this shell extension (Windows only): http://www.viksoe.dk/code/gmail.htm

There are not many other services that allow large storage at no cost at all, and are still reliable. Such sites with an unsustainable business model will eventually fail, taking your files along with it. =(

Google "online file storage" for such sites. Many delete your files after a certain period of inactivity.

Your best bet is definitely email services like GMail, which, owned by Google, is unlikely to crash and burn--plus, you can get multiple 3G accounts for free! ;)

However, if you are willing to spend money, I suggest you do not sign up for one of those "paid" storage sites, and to buy your own domain. =)

You can simply get a cheap hosting plan with the amount of disk space you require, or (If the files are not too big), you can use an email which doesn't expire (like Gmail with about 3GB space) and save them there as drafts of an email. There is Gmail drive which makes a drive in your hard drive to save the files on, but i wouldn't recommend it as i tried it and it gave me problems..

Hope it helps..

yes you can store them in your email account, you can attach the file in a mail and save it as a draft or send it to yourself. but you cannot do it with yahoo if the file size is larger than 10 mb. you can try hotmail or gmail in that case.

take care.

1st choice : Myspace.com

you can also save files on email account.
Try http://briefcase.yahoo.com
there you can store some MB's

Finally if you are thinking of files of size like 200 MB + then you need to use the web hosting service.
