In general, Chinese keyboards are exactly the same as "English" ones. The only difference is that on the keys there's also a little symbol-not really a word . Each one stands for a specific writing stoke used when writing Chinese. When we want to type a Chinese word we press the keys with the strokes in the word. It's not easy!

No they don't use symbols. They use a different language then their own and translate to their own language. I don't remember what language they use. Mandarin or something like that.
