My husband used to work at strip clubs (yes, I trusted him), and sometimes the girls would ask him if he would help them with the trimming and what nots!

Anyway, my hubby now keeps me "bare"! He uses hair removing lotion such as nair, veet, etc., and then uses a regular lotion so it doesn't smell like those lotions itself. It saves on the embarrassing bumps.

Good Luck!

A couple of things - be sure your pubic area has had time to get warm (just like letting your legs get warm and wet before shaving them) be sure and use either a good shaving cream or hair conditioner (it's harder on your razor, but works really well) be sure and trim your pubic hair before shaving so you don't "pull" as much. When you're done, make sure the area is really clean, pat dry (don't rub, you'll irritate the area) and - honestly - put a light coat of stick deodorant (the white kind) over the area you shaved. It helps the skin to not chafe as much. Be sure your razor is clean and sharp - those little bumps are (usually) ingrown hairs, so keep cleanser and tweezers around, just in case. And the more often you shave, the less problematic it will be - just like your legs! Good luck!

when you first start shaving down there your going to get razor burn, after awile your skin gets used to it. ive been shaving there since i was 13....im now 24 just use shaving cream or a lot of soap and dont over do it just shave each spot once and put lotion or after shave on it when your done they have it for girls i think its called skintimate it comes in a really big bottle so it last a really long time its by the shaving cream that will help

Sounds like razor burn. Does your boyfriend mind if you don't shave? You should probably quit shaving "down there" for a while and allow that to heal before resuming shaving. Maybe applying shaving cream before shaving will help if you aren't doing that already. HTH

well never shave against the growth of the hair, that will make it worse. shave in a downward direction or sideways. i say just keep it trimmed and make sure you always take care of the bikini line. no guys like a bush, but they don't mind a lil hair. and if you really don't want hair down there then i suggest just going to get a brazilian wax. a lil painful but well worth it in the end!

It could be razor burn, so use aloe vera as a shaving cream. It works very well.
Or you could wax...I know it painful but its soooo soft and smooth after. If it hurts too much to do it all, wax the outer parts as far inwards as you can stand and carefully trim the rest.
If you do decide to wax, make ure you use a hard brazilian wax, not normal wax.

Girl this happens to all of us.. I can never get it to look like i want it to when shaving... So I stopped shaving and started getting it waxed and I like it better.. No bumps and stays smooth longer...

don't worry too much about it-it's most likely just razor burn and I used to get it, too. If you're shaving dry, next time at least use soap. Shaving cream also works.

always shave in the direction the hair grows never against. Try tea tree oil to relieve the razor burn
