I tie the washing line around the wife's neck . the the wet washing attached of course, and have her running around our central line post for a few hours just like the water donkies in the far east. Out on the line in the summer, on the radiators around the house the rest of the time. Occasionally the tumble drier (for towels only). Family of four as well.

In the summer I dry my washing on the washing line, but in a winter I use tumble dryer for towels (as it makes the towels really soft) and I use the radiators for other items. there is also 4 of us in our family.
the british weather is unpredictable one minute is sunny the next it's pouring down with rain, so your constantly putting it out and fetching it back in again.

Radiators or tumble dryer. I don't have a washing line. I love the smell indoors of fresh washing on the radiator!

Normally, I prefer the dryer, however, when the weather is nice, there's nothing like the smell of clean sheets and bedding which has been hung out on the line.

I much prefer hanging it on the line, it smells lovely and fresh. I do use a tumble dryer in the winter but they are a money burner

Radiator in winter and lines in summer.

Don't like a tumble dryer because it's noisy, expensive and ruins your clothes.

It's too humid and cold in Britain to dry your clothes outside in winter.

I have a family of 18 and I literally blow dry. mostly because I have very strong and unique lungs called superlungpro, and I never run out of breath. Usually takes me round 4 days to dry half of the clothes.
