Because in Africa it was perfectly normal to have slaves, the Africans sold slaves to anyone that would buy them including other Africans. Africa was ruled by many Kingdoms and when they went to war with another Kingdom and they won they would sell off all the People to the Highest Bidder. But yeah the whites did make it a big time business, But many Africans got rich doing it too

No, guns did not "happen" during slavery (in America, we call it the Civil War). Guns and their history are thought to have begun in the middle 13th century or there about. Gun powder has a longer history and some believe it may have been invented in Greece, or in Arab lands.

So you want to know about slavery? Slavery has been an occurrence in society (worldwide) nearly since the beginning of time. You can't blame slavery on the "white man" because it just isn't so. You may have gotten your information through family history and possibly other family and peer groups, but YOU need to study to find out about slavery. If you are talking about the whites getting slaves from Africa in the 15th and 16th centuries - well it is true - because the Native Africans were available for quick "snatches" by Spanish, Portuguese, and French and English ships travelling on and around the west coast of Africa; however you need to look in the history books of African history about Africans stealing and forcing caught Africans into subservient slavery practices. This subject is about a million books thick - go to college and take courses in Humanities and both Western and non-Western cultures. It will open your eyes for the truth you are seeking!

From what I have researched actually, slavery started when one tribe in Arfica would take over another tribe (Just as the Native American Indians did) the would take members of the defeated tribe as slaves to work for them and if they chose to sale them to others they could. So some of the African tribes began to sale there slaves to white ship owners thus slavery/ slave trading was established.
I'm not saying that I agree with this but that is what started it.
and now here in 2007 we are still fighting the Civil War? I'm tired of hereing the whites say they are superior (I'm White) , and I'm tired of hering the blacks say that we whites owe them for something that happened hundreds of years ago.
Slavery happened! It's over! Learn from it and go forward.
Everything in this life is a lesson to learn from, learn from slavery, that All Men are created equal, and accept the differences in people , Hold true to your faiths, values, and beliefs and move forward and quit looking back

The white man did not enter Africa for slaves. They were provided in principle by tribal differences, one tribe would enslave another tribe, they were then sold to anyone that wanted them. The arabs were the biggest slave traders and were responsible for most of the slave trade. In fact the trade has not stopped, it is endemic in the African countries and the third world. You must remember that most of the western worlds people were also in bondage, we were enslaved also by the kings and lords of the land.
