Prior to the gas going up a couple months ago, I was listening to National Public Radio where the oil companies said they weren't making money and therefore they were going to cut down on oil production. My dear no sooner said than done, the gas prices went up the next day about 10 cents and it has been climbing ever since. Greed is what drives the few rich. You will soon hear Exxon claiming they made a HUGE profit in a couple of months. And ofcourse, is at the expense of those who are just trying to make it to work.

You have to ask? I can remember gas going to 33 cents and thinking things were tough.
I can remember people saying that gas would never climb to a dollar because the price lists on the outside of the stations didn't have three digits. They solved that one so quickly they should be in Washington.
Short of some serious alternate, renewable fuels we won't see oil go down to anything approaching a dollar.
And yes, the oil producers have been recording record profits. Not only do they take our money, but they call us stupid at the same time.
The US is a vastly larger country than GB and its a 22 mile trip from where I am to the stores, I have an efficient car an plan my trips, but the distances here to work and shop are far too long to bike and public travel outside of large cities is minimal to zero. That's why it hits us so hard.

I truly wish we could look forward to the price of gas dropping again, but with the minimum wage jumping up so high, (Which should have happened long ago) I'm sure that we will never see prices that low again. In fact, I've been noticing that the prices have been going up on everything. Isn't that the way it always is? Give people a little tidbit, and take that tidbit away in droves.

Just try moving over to the UK - It's something like $10 a gallon here - I'd kill to get fuel as cheap as you guys have it - even now.....And yes - they'll keep charging you if it's anything like here once they work out you are willing to pay it....
They will raise it by 10 cents say, then people complain so they drop it by 8 to get the 2 that they wanted in the first place and just keep on doing that.

Gas prices will only come down when we figure out a way to use alternative energy such as ethanol or hydrogen on a mass basis. Gas will be so cheap, the Arabs will have to trade their Rolls Royces for camels. The animal kind.

perhaps, even in spite of the shown fact that it won't stay there. the US continues to be the biggest consumer (25% of the international intake) and if we alter our existence type and automobiles to extra effective ones swifter than China and different countries strengthen their utilization international call for will fall. supplies will strengthen extremely because of the fact production will come from extra high priced oil to offer that replaced into no longer progressed whilst oil replaced into $20 money a barrel. additionally area of the reason of the present intense fee is worry in the midsection east which will shrink.

That's the point of raising the price to extreme levels and then dropping them. They get us used to paying over $3 a gallon for regular so that when it drops down to a few cents higher then it was before it raised we're saying to ourselves....'Well it's not $3.25 for regular anymore'. It's a psychological ploy.
