Looking to boost my civic. I already put the battery in the trunk. I know they do the same thing but I just need opinions before I invest. Thanks.

The vortec supercharger is a great power adder and they make a direct bolt on kit for under $4K i think. I would go with that.

Superchargers are cheaper, somewhat safer and easier to install. They will never give you a boost spike or any other unforseen problem. This is because they are belt driven and will always spin at a certain RPM according to how fast your engine is spinning.

Turbo's will ultimately give you better top end performance without the parasitic drag you get from a supercharger. They are also more efficient. A supercharger will really drop your fuel milage. A turbo not so much. But a turbo is harder to install, it has more potential issues and needs more supportive upgrading to go along with it if you are going to do it right.

So the answer is: It depends. Depends on how much you want to spend and how far you want to take this. If it's just for fun, I would go with the supercharger. If you are going to be serious about drag racing or some other autosport and you want to spend more money.. go with the turbo.
