i can't believe some of the songs that the people above me put as their favorites. does anybody still listen to decent music anymore? my favorite song is "until we say goodbye" by joe satriani. the tune is completely instrumental and absolutely beautiful. when a song doesn't need words or lyrics to touch you, that my friend is the mark of good music.

"Chicago", by Sufjan Stevens. Yes, hipsters, I know it's his radio song, and he does have 4 different recordings of it. Get over yourselves. Here's why I love that song.
I'm in that lovely transitional phase of life, and so the third verse speaks to me well. Also, I live in Chicago now. Although the song isn't really about Chicago all that much, it's still kinda neat to head downtown and see the skyline while listening to the song.
Musically, it's more of a composition than a rock song. The violins are sweeping and majestic, the melody is bittersweet and it's refreshing to hear chamber pop that isn't always bubbly. If you saw "Little Miss Sunshine", it's in there as well. Support the musician and download legally if you can't find it in a record store.

Lithium by Nirvana. I would chose that as my fav song becoz it's from my Favourit band and because it just seems to describe the way I feel more than any song I've ever heared.

"Boom Boom Ba" by Metisse, because it makes me smile 100% of the time.
But I have so many! I also like "Dance While the Sky Crashes Down" by Jason Webley, and "El Tango De Roxanne" from the Moulin Rouge. I can listen to these song no matter what mood I'm in.

Metallicas "master of puppets" The song is a masterpiece of metal and has not been surpassed since.I just love the songs theme of manipulation and greed. Its like when you worship a higher power but then it begins to betray you and you want to do something about it but its too late as at this point your just a puppet. The lyrics are amazing, best out of any metallica song i will occupy/i will help you die/i will run through you/now i rule you too. or master,master/wheres the dreams that ive been after/master,master/laughter,laughter/all i hear and see is laughter/laughter, laughter/laughing at my cries.
and then of course the riff at the middle of the song.brilliance.
METALLICA RULE!!
If you dont recognise metallica or you give this comment a thumbs down then you are officially lame...full stop...just go kill yourself..save the trouble lol
