I am sick of Republic of that is "supposed" to utilize democracy in our phony election process! over 85% of us are just victims for the fleecing under Fascist Capitalism! I am for ending the ruling class wealthy elite. Give ultimate rule & control to the legal citizen Majority "LCM" Party!

Yes in America it would because we have a large middle class still, but in a very poor nation it would be a mistake. Because most poor people are uneducated and would vote for people like 50 cent as president and pass laws that say all women need to stay in the kitchen. That is the reasoning behind a republic, To vote in people to represent you.

Not really. We are a republic for a reason, say we went to a simple majority rule democracy. Any candidate for presidency would simply need to court California and New York to win. the majority would also vote to redistribute wealth and "punish" the wealthy. which would stifle growth and innovation. I would rather see the day that money wouldn't be needed to get elected (all campaigns paid for by state or federal funds).
