An MDB file is a file created by the program Microsoft Access. You cannot open the file and see something useful without a program designed to open up mdb files (i.e. MS Access).

MDB file is a Microsoft Access Database file. It can be opened by MS Access. You can open the file from MS Access. Is that what you did and it showed jibberish?

MDBs are Microsoft Access database files. Are you opening them in Microsoft Access or another database program?
