promised he would come today but didnt when i called him he said the door was lost
phoned a few hours later where he told me it had not been delivered
have I been badly treated or is this to be expected now a days ?

Didnt u know that if he says he'll b there first thing monday morning that u have to take the entire week off work just in case?!

Well my Husband is a builder, just a one man self employed hard worker who would NEVER do that or he'd never get any work!!! Ditch this incompetent fool and look elsewhere for a reliable person. Ask your neighbors or friends to recommend someone....... and if you live near me (UK DEVON) you can book my husband to do it LOL

sorry but im afaid to tell you this is normal behavior for a builder they overbook work so they've always got something to do and then juggle the jobs, so im guessing you'll get your door fitted when its raining and they dont want to work outside all day

well if you paid him already dont expect him to come back and you have been scammed which is happening more and more nowadays and if you havent paid him yet he might be spending his time on a more profitable job first and feels hell get to you later...sucks and wrong but thats how it goes!

In my experience it is common. I also find that often I have to redo whatever they "fixed".
