I am going to Orlando in 38 days and me and my fiancee are staying from Thursday to Sunday. So 2 of those days we are going to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. I truly love Disneyworld, but this year we're going to experience something new. I was just wondering what the lines at Universal are like compared to the lines you have to wait in at Disneyworld. I know Disneyworlds lines you have to wait like 2 hours long, unless you get fastpass. I was just wondering without the fastpass how long are the lines at Universal and Islands of Adventure. Also if you have any places that we have to go while in Orlando give me those, and also any tips. Thanks for all answers!!!

Hi,

I was in Orlando from the 22nd of February to the 3rd of March.
I guess I was lucky for it wasn't crowded at all.
Still, there were longer lines in Disney than in Universal. The maximum I've seen in Disney was 40 minutes at the Big Thunder train and it was common to find 20 minutes at other rides. In Universal, the maximum was 20 minutes at Dr Doom Fearfall. For Hulk and Dueling Dragons, for example, there were absolutely no line at all.
So, in the end, it looks like Universal lines were shorter.
In Disney we used Fastpass whenever we could.
In Universal, we had planned to buy the Express pass directly in the park if the lines were too long, but in the end we didn't have to.
One last thing : the price of the Express pass in Universal changes according to the seasons. It seems it's cheaper during the least crowed dates (it was 15$ when I was there). So, have a look on their website, you may have an insight on the crowd you may face...

I also recommend you visit Downtown Orlando and Winter Park to explore the local scenery, these areas are often overlooked by tourists due to the heavy marketing on nothing but the attraction areas. Have Fun!

Well try to get a fast pass if you can afford it. The ques are lesser in the morning so try to be there when the parks opening and do the most popular rides then. It is always a good tip. Johan

Another tip is to go counter clockwise when going through the park. This may sound silly but it's people's natural inclination to go towards their right and work their way around the parks, go toward the left when you arrive and you will have less crowds (don't get me wrong crowds will still be large...) Also go as early in the morning as you can.

well-known would not even come remotely on the fringe of Walt Disney international. Disney is the main suitable. they have the money. they have the size. they have the greater effective rides. they have the greater effective specific effects. And Mickey!!!!!
