I reccomend taking you car for an early spring late winter check up and getting all of your fluids topped off. If you leave it at a low level you will reck your ABS, and that is not a cheap thing to repair. If you don't want to take it to a garage, go to canadian tire and buy more brake fluid for your system and top it off yourself. The noise could very well be the fact that your breaks aren't recieving enough lubricant and are rubbing causing damage to the break system.

you hardly ever need to add brake fluid so i would put that car in the shop or at least get a professional opinion
