I'd like to know if there's any difference between "to care for someone" and " to care about someone." If there is or are differences between these two usages, what are they? Thanks a lot for your help. I really appreciate it.

to care FOR is physical
to care ABOUT is emotional

I think that it depends on how the statement is being used. "to care for someone" can mean that you are taking care of them in a physical matter, or that you care for them emotionally, which is what it means "to care about someone." It all depends on the usage, and when at what you are talking about.
