Do you think that, just maybe, this guy had Methodist sermons beat into his head for years that sounded something like, "If you're not with us, you're against us?"

You are taking this religious fanaticism a bit too far don't you think? You are essentially saying if you are a devote christian you are not fit to lead. Well you are very incorrect in your asinine assumption there.

Not Methodist sermons.

The Methodists have been known for their liberal approach to religion.

They actually do the work of Jesus Christ, like feeding and clothing the poor.

It's the extreme right-winged religions that Bush has been listening to, probably the Assemblies of God which is headed up by radicals like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell, that think they are prophets of God that have been appointed to bring on Armageddon, just English for Jihadists or "holy warriors."

They collect monry for their churches and then pocket it and donate to the Republicans.

Regardless of the President's religious affiliation, I trust him with nuclear weaponry a whole lot more than I do the Iranians. Anyone who could possibly think otherwise is simply delusional.

He's not a religious fanatic. He says that kind of stuff because he thinks it will be received well, not because he believes it. There are many reasons he should not be on the button, but this isn't much of one.

Yes. He is a religious fundamentalist, and believes he has a hotline to God. Grown adults who still believe in an invisible friend should not be allowed to have their fingers near the big red buttons.

Yes. I have no doubt that humanity will be exterminated by a fundamentalist (Christian, Muslim or Jew) with nuclear weapons. Mumbling that he's doing "God's Will" as he presses the button to kill us all.

Just looking at the man's attitude and actions over the past few years, do you really believe that he listened in Church? There is nothing honest or God fearing about him.
