i just asked a quedtion about reclaiming bank charges, does any 1 know the names of banks that have tried to close the accounts of people that have reclaimed their money from?
(hoping my banks are not one of those)

i've heard the following try to or do close your account

abbey
alliance and leicester
natwest

check the link below it give loads on info but you've got to sift through it all as its the successful claimants that normally have their banks try close their accounts by sending them a lovely letter say we will be contacting you in the near future to discuss the operation of your account.

you should als o be aware that the financial ombudsman has ruled against them doing so but even if you do complain would you really want to go back after they locked you off?, i wouldn't i'd just claim compo and show them 2 fingers

I do know that HSBC wont' do this. My BF works there and im going to reclaim.
