Here's a really simple solution - turn off your phone at night. I do this. That way you won't get any texts waking you in the middle of the night.
As for your friend, well, maybe he hasn't got anyone else to talk to. If you really are his friend then you shouldn't tell him to stop bothering you. How would you feel if you had problems and the one person you thought you could rely on to help share the burden turned on you and told you to stop "bugging" them? It's not nice.
Having said that, perhaps he's texting you because he actually likes you as more than a friend and wants your attention all the time. You could always ask him why he texts you all the time about little problems. Make sure he knows you're there for him for any big problems, but his relationship with his girlfriend should be private and it's not good for their relationship to keep dragging you into it.

what you need to do is simple. your friend needs your help and you have given it probably more than once my advise to you now is 1. to say to him dump her or put up with it and stop bugging me with this i cant be bothered any more. or 2. you could try and explain to him that because of his problems it is causing similar ones for you so stop all this texting..3 get new Sim card for your phone but don't give him the number. good luck in your decision

Why r u even answering or reading his texts? Send him 1 txt saying u understand how he feels cos you can't put up with him anymore either, ie being bombarded with his calls and messages and ur just gonna not answer & delete them in future. Switch your phone off at night and delete any text you get from him.
You could also get your boyfriend to send him a text telling him to leave you alone otherwise you'll end your friendship with him altogether.

Take out your sim card at night or SIMPLY switch your phone off - no probs. Then when you next see this 'boy' tell him to leave you alone and stop sending texts at strange times or you will not see him ever again or help/advise him again!
Personally I think you should tell him to take a hike - he is taking the pee out of your friendship!

I think that if you would rather have your boyfriend be happy with your relationship you should tell the friend that he needs to back off, but you need to think about if you would need him as a friend if your boyfriend ditched you or you guys broke up.

Can you not switch your mobile off at night and when you are with your boyfriend?
I am not surprised your boyfriend is suspicious.
I think you will have to be blunt and tell him to quit calling or else you will have to break friends for good.
