Every so often, members of the youth ministry host a gathering for the youth at their home. I attend a baptist church, and it's now my turn to host the youth. Im trying to figure out some activities to do with them. I dont want to make it all fun and games. I also dont want to force GOD on them. I just want them to leave feeling like they learned something useful, and they also had fun. The kids are high school and middle school students

when i was a teenager in church i had loads of fun you don't have to make it a "all righteous thing" have some fun with it and the kids will want to hear what you have to say. try having a game like bible quiz or about people in the bible make it like a quiz show or something and have a prize for the winners. have an open discussion on things going on with them in the world today and be prepared to relate it to the bible(this will make them want to learn more) get a parable out the bible and associate it with what today's teens might be going thru. have some worksheets printed out with unscramble things in the bible. Its hard for me to type and explain everything all my ideas I wish I could talk to you. Just pray to God he will lead you in the right way. Don't stress out have a open mind and the kids can actually lead you in the way it could go.

Juz put up a sketch. Make a great and antastic story out of it. Make up a star wars kinda sketch so that each of them have a cool character to play, with cool costumes and each of them can learn what is the lesson behind the story of their character. I believe parents would love them too. Make a dark kinda scence with those glow in the dark stickers. It's fun with a good sound system. Contributing to GOd is a great thing to do and it's an honour and pleasure. Pray and some inspiration will come to u. God make all things happen. Good luck!!

how bout roleplayin? consider da uth.. if u think they all are capable of doin it then giv them scenes from da bible n elaborate after they finished.. or u can get a few of the youth to do an impromptu drama.. u just prepare the script n read it out.. dis makes a great opener.. make it funny too..
u could giv them daily situations too so they can learn smthing practical..
enjoy it and god bless.. cant think of ani other activity..

Try a game of "What Would You Do?" Write down a couple of situations such as, "Katie and Sara are going to the mall. Sara tells Katie that she stole something from one of the stores after they leave. If you were Katie, what would you do?" or go to http://www.funattic.com/game_youthgroup.htm
