I'd like one that shows part of the world in darkness and part in light. It would be great to have city lights on it as well. Any ideas?

Here is one taken by the Apollo astronauts when they were coming back from the Moon:

The sun is too bright to allow the city lights to be seen.
There is a pic on the net about the city lights at night, and you can easily Google for it.

There are lots of satellite that are constantly taking photos of Earth. You will need to find the one that has the picture you want, and figure out when sunrise occurs, and get the photo at that time.

Here is the index page that shoes all the GEOS satellites:

You could also go to APOD and search for various photos of the Earth that they have. Maybe you will find just what you like:

;-D Have fun, and good luck!

The source is a pretty good one. I found it on the NASA web pages. No city lights though. If I find a better one I'll come back and edit this answer.

Edit -- The second one is good too, but still no city lights.

I'd try Google, Google image search, and just generally search for the subject on Google itself. I'd do it myself, but there are a variety of options, and it'd be better to let you pick exactly what you want.
