start now... 3min 3times a wk..add min.or two weekly..example:
week 1 3 min
week 2 5 min
week 3 8 min
week4 10 min.........never tan more than 20 min. after you have a basic tan you can tan up to 20 min every day if you wish. Just take it slow at first. If you get red at all slow down.
At first you will feel like it is not worth your while to only do 2 or 3 min. believe me you have to take it slow at first. Good luck! Have a great trip.

Don't do it. Period. Be smart. You usually burn first? Yeah, you're definitely not a good candidate to use a tanning bed. If you burn before tanning, you're already at an increased risk to develop melanoma as well as other skin cancers. Please be smart...melanoma is being diagnosed more and more every year, and at younger ages all the time. I had my first go round with it two years ago, after just turning 32. I was lucky in that it was caught early and only have a 2"ugly scar on my forearm to show for it (where they cut out a big chunk of flesh to make sure it hadn't spread any further).
By the way, embrace your fair skin. When you go on vacation or holiday or however you wish to refer to it - USE SUNSCREEN! We're talking at minimum 15 spf. See, the thing is, I used both tanning beds and old fashioned sun bathing - both with no sunscreen.

Ask the person working there whoever it is should definately tell you your answer.B/c I mean I can't really tell w/o looking at you. But as you tan gradually work your minutes up but if you burn one time don't try to go in the next day and do even more minutes you might have to take a break for a day or so.

1. take it easy at first.
2. time depends on the bed and the age of the lights. get an opinion from the operator.
3. apply the right kind of sunscreen. the tanning place will have some sample for you
good luck

I know it looks good to have a tan, but it's not really healthy for your skin, because it's been said many many times, that later in life, you can end up with skin cancer, wouldn't you feel better, to just apply some tanning oil or lotion?
