Do you have as much disdain for them as you do for the dems who are against the war? I ask because I read so many questions about the dems being against it...what do you think of the reps who are against it?

I respect their opinions but believe they are wrong. I respect the opinions of the liberals that truly are against the war for personal beliefs. I don't respect the liberals that are against the war for only the sake of bringing down the current administration so they can get back in power and hold it for a while. The politics of the situation is what sickens me, not the beliefs.

I dont really think many people enjoy the idea of war. I know I certainly don't like war, however, there isnt much we can do about it. Besides seems the Dems in office arent ready to jump ship quite yet either.

There is much disagreement about the war, to be sure. I believe the decision to go in was the right one given the facts at the time, and that we need to prevail. I think
there have been BIG problems in fighting it, which I hope the administration is addressing.

I have problems with Republican senators like Hegel who are against it, and support Democratic senators like Liberman who are for it.

Too many people see politics in terms of "my team." They might be better off playing the NCAA pool than debating here!

It depends on their actions. If they are against the war but admit that leaving prematurely would threaten the world, then we accept that. However, if they simply want to prove their Liberalism at the cost of our land and people, then we disdain their lack of will.
We should all be able to disagree, as it is our constitutional right, but when you extend that right into actions that threaten your own country, that is unacceptable.

I applaud anyone who acts on considered thought...rather than blindly following party lines. If your party does not represent your beliefs, it is your constitutional right...and obligation as a representative of the country...to speak up.

I am proud of the few Republicans that are anti-war, and willing to speak out against their own party and leader.

Looking at the majority of the Republican answers,it seems they're telling you that it's okay to disagree as long as you're not really disagreeing.

Perfect Rightist philosophy.
