What a bunch of wimps America has become, We're weighing death vs. crippling and some of you are talking fines and mowing grass? Maybe we should just say "No desert for you tonight"

Death is too severe I think, but I would be satisfied with the removal of both hands. That would make stealing another motorcycle a very difficult challenge.

Kids, I'd say ground them, give them months of community service, and lots of extra homework. All work and no play for a few months should teach them a lesson. Mind you, when I say kid, that's 14 and under.

Teenagers, send them to jail for a week so they get an idea of what it will be like if they do steal for a living. Then stick them with a few months of community service and suspend their driving priveledges (if they have a license) and give them a curfew of 9pm. That's for teens 15-17.

Once you hit 18, you should know better. Then, as I love bikes, if mine was stolen, I would probably request an off the record beating where somehow the person ends up with a few broken bones and maybe a little internal bleeding. On the record, I'd put them to jail for a few years and make sure they were placed with a big ugly roommate that had a penchant for molesting their roommates.

Anyone who says that the legal penalty is good enough, either A) has never had a bike ripped or ,B) does not value their ride beyond a lawnmower or a T.V. set.
Have I ever told you the story of when the old lady and I were in Stugis, came out from dinner and **MY BIKE WAS GONE??!!** I had just spent months and $$$ rebuilding it.
Aside from the financial and emotional blow, It left me with no gear and the 2 of us to ride home 2 up 1800 mi. on a XL1200.
I figure some shitthead traded it for a grand worth of meth or something really lame along those lines.
I can guarantee if I caught or caught up to anyone who F**ked with our bikes they would die. Even if I regretted it later(which I probably wouldn't) I know myself well enough to know what I would do.

First I would call the cops. Only to make it legal. Then, when the law (bungholes that they are.) allows the bike thief to go about his/her business I would find him/her and slowly mash each finger and toe with a rubber mallet. (You get more beat time in with the rubber as opposed to a regular hammer.)

I would repeat the following words while doing the nasty: This is MY bike, not yours. (Slap of the mallet.) You can't have my bike since you are a puss. (Slap of the mallet.) continue until all fingers and toes are well mashed.

I have never had a bike stolen, but if anyone took my baby I would hunt them to the ends of the earth and then make them pay! Pay dearly!

I read the additions to the posting. Remember that some of these people don't actually ride, just wish they did. When you don't have to fight for your lane space with the cagers every day you can afford to be softhearted. Mow the lawn. HA! The only reason I like the badly broken fingers and toes, as opposed to cutting off the offending item is they have to live with it, and explain what happened if asked. Not that they would tell the truth since anyone who would steal a bike is the scum of the earth to begin with. They would have no problem with a lie.

it is my belife that what you had happen to you was a dream. If you ever had your bike jacked you know what i mean. I always dreamed of what i would have done if i got the chance to catch that punk in the act. A good beating comes to mind thats the first thought that seems to come to everyone. You could go with the obvious answer call the authorities and let them deal. Or if you are in contact with him than have some fun with it tell him he has to pick up your doggie doo doo in your yard for a month or some other thing you hate doin. If he dosnt comply then go ahead with the POLICIA.

the placement with this type of spanking (and it really is no longer in simple terms you fairly some people on right here seem to attempt this) - is that once you've time to imagine about an suitable punishment, spanking could fairly be out of the question. it really is premeditated.. you had time to imagine of something and all you are able to imagine of is hitting? i advise, i'm excited by spanking even as it really is in the instantaneous and also you want to really get their interest. even if it form of feels as even if it can make more advantageous experience to have her carry out a touch questioning about what she did - on my own, in her room with out electronics to distract her. for a minimum of 20 minutes. THEN perchance have the communicate. ask her what she concept about. why is it incorrect to scouse borrow? she could be waiting to come back up with some causes if given the time to mirror. if she will be in a position to't, then i'd tell her she could favor more advantageous time to imagine about it. and provides you her yet another 5-10 minutes.

Yahoo is full of whiny nazis anyway.

Castration comes to mind, or the removal of their left foot so they can only hit 1st gear when they try it again. Public beatings are very underrated as well. Maybe being dragged behind the bike they stole would help? One foot for every dollar spent on the bike? That would be at least 1/2 mile for nearly all models, and close to 5 miles for, say, a 999R. let them wear whatever they had on when they stole the bike, too.

Okay, here's a fitting punishment for a bike thief:

You take the guy out in the woods somewhere and strip him naked. Then you tie him speadeagled to some stakes in the ground. Then you smear his body with honey. Then you lead trails of honey to various anthills (properly vicious ants of course).

When the ants arrive there will be plenty of punishment.

There is laws for this dont take the law in your own hands.......BOO HOO

What a bunch of babies. What if someone was stealing your child, would you wait to file a report and stand on the corner crying.........or take the law in your own hands.

If you actually got beat for doing wrong insted of having a roof put over your head and food in your mouth then maybe this persons bike wouldnt have been stolen in the first damn palce!

Feeding and sheltering criminals is not the answer,,,,,,,eye for an eye is.

i would just put a beating on them. If I get charged with a crime for beating a criminal then so be it!

Maybe don't let them ride a bike for a very long time like let's say for about a month or two or just 3 or 4 weeks.
