I am not a political animal, but I insist on watching the tv news twice a day.

When I was on holiday, I refused to watch the news or read a paper for two weeks.

And then when I returned home, I found that if I live in ignorance, my home town hasn't changed very much at all, despite the press report of murders, robberies, and the like.
Murders and stabbings are on the increase in the Uk. So I worry - wouldn't anybody?

But I don't see it anywhere - nobody has been murdered before my face.
So my life has not changed at all.

My answer now is - look out of the window. What has changed? Answer, not much.

But watching the news, I should worry.
Good question!

I cut my cable off almost two years ago.

Haven't missed it at all.

Occasionally, when I feel the need to bow to the Golden Image of King George II, Angel of All That Is Good, Bringer of Light and Beauty, I will go down to the coffee shop and watch FOX News for a few minutes.

Did it for a few weeks long time ago, and it was interesting researching Kent State shootings without emotion of media spin. Sometimes wonder if Apollo 13 wasn't contrived to change the spin.

Honestly, I spend days without watching tv. I leave my house at 5am and come back at midnight.

Solution? GET TIVO!
and when I have a chance I watch tv but i'd say 3 out of 7 days I actually watch tv
