The density of glass varies with each type and ranges from 2000 to 8000 kg/m3 (for comparison, from less dense than aluminum to more dense than iron) at standard conditions. Flint glass can be so much denser than crown glass because flint glass contains lead, which is a very dense element.

This question reminds me of when I was 8 years old and my science teacher told me that glass is actually a liquid. I found out later that it is somewhere between a liquid and a solid, not quite any of them and even if you go to really old churches, at least a few hundred centuries old, the glass at the bottom is a lot thicker than that at the top of windows because it has been slowly flowing downwards for hundreds of years.

But that's besides the point. Just a fun fact.
