so my college's internet has a limit of 2 gigs a day. i log on to the schools server using a user name and password via wireless connection. the school's server is able to track my downloading and so once i hit 2 gigs in a 24 hr period, my account is suspended, is there anything i can do so that the school can't track downloads and everything?

You want to try and go around their firewalls? You can kiss your college education goodbye....

Based on the information you have given, I would say that there is nothing you can do about it. Your computer is just a client, connecting to the server, and that too, with proxies and an array of access points. Wireless security, even if you breach it, though it's very tough, will not get you to the server. The only way to work around this problem is if you can go to the IT department, and explain your problem. They MIGHT increase your quota!

Serves you right. Downloading from a p2p site is not legal plus you are abusing the colleges's property, i.e. their computers. You are there to work not play.

Never mind your account being suspended.....won't be long until you're suspended too, if you try and abuse the system again.
