what are the abilities you can have in maple story?

all i really want to know is can you mine and smith in maple story,what abilites can you have,and where do you download the game.

There is something like crafting in Maple story, but all the items for it are drops or purchased, there is nothing like WoW's craft system. As for special character ablities, that depends on which first/secondary class you choose. Though you sould really choose what you want to play before you start a character, because the best characters are designed from start to fit into their final job.

i play my lvl 30 assasin ok ill give u the down low on this
u got 4 classes warrior,thief,mage,and bowman,first warrior
warriors are a derect class tanking for ther party or takeing out herds of enimes fast at higer lvls when u make your first job adv at lvl 15 u get 1 skill point to choos id put it on ....(dont know the name XD) some were near the bottom its the attk they are mostly an attk gruop useing attk skills but! they do have so bffing party skills usaly raising attk or def.
at higer lvls they get area effect useing the propper skills
u can choos between useing a dragon knight and well
pally i gusse (they use swords ax's and blunt weps) (drg,use's spears) now u know a little about war lets start thiefs
(in my opinoin best class ther is) thiefsget ther first job adv like every other class (ecpt mage) thiefs can use 2 dif kinds of weps daggers,and throwing stars, when u get a thief its best to only lvl 1 way like my assasin is throwing stars wich might be expensiv to get but are worth the troubl when u start out u get 1 skill point like every one els if your gunna be a bandit(daggers) get doubl stab if u gunna be a assisan
(throwing stars) get lucky seven thiefs,.......fck have to go to class sry i couldent finish if u want usfull tips go to yahoo hit in maple story job guids u should find wat your looking for i did when i first started and i hope u have fun playing that game
