Why was no one there to accept the award?

Yeah, its ashame how Black artists don't support Black events but wanna run to the big name events like MTV awards, Oscars and Grammy's. The BET and The Source awards even get more respect than Soul Train awards. And I was particularly upset about Jeniffer Hudson. Don Cornelius called Clive Davis and Clive Davis had to call Jeniffer and told her to "get her *** on a plane and get to the show." She was refusing to go! She just got in this business and is already trying to act like a diva. But that's what everyone gets for blowing her head up and making her think that she's superior to Beyonce for that whole Dream Girls drama.

Because the awards are seen as a low alternative to major awards shows like the Grammys and Oscars. Maybe that's the problem.
