I think it's wonderful to include both cultures into her name. It gives her a strong sense of blending from where she's come from. The name is beautiful. I also love the fact that it's a family middle name that you are passing on to her. It will tie her into her Vietnamese heritage even more.

Best Wishes for you and your soon to arrive bundle of joy!

I like Madelynn a lot, but I'd probably leave off the second n, so Madelyn. I think it's up to you whether you give her a mixed name or not, I think it's a great idea and that's what I'd do.

English Middle names for Madelyn:

Madelyn Ava McClellan

Madelyn Claire McClellan
Madelyn Elizabeth McClellan
Madelyn Faith McClellan
Madelyn Grace McClellan
Madelyn Heather McClellan
Madelyn Ivy McClellan
Madelyn Lily McClellan

Vietnamese Middle names for Madelyn:

I only got Vietnamese names, because you said Thien was from Vietname, so that's what I looked up. Hope I helped & good luck =)

I like Thien. Madelynn Thien McClellan has a nice ring to it. And its always nice to not have Marie for a middle name! If you want to change the name, I think something like Lianne would sound good.

I'm not sure how to pronounce it but I think Thien would be a nice middle name for Madelynn. When a child comes from mixed backgrounds I think it's nice to incorporate those into their name.

I thought of Madelynn Rose for my baby. I think Madelynn is a beautiful name and I also think Thien goes well with it too. Congratulations.

The mix gives idenity to her heritage by naming her as you were thinking of. If you are a strong traditionalist, follow the trend of the same middle name if you wish. Otherwise, "break the mold" and call her something else. Madelynn McKenzie McClellan.
