indie rock and folk rock, just becuase the artists are making music for the right reasons, not to make money but because they love music.

can go up and down the scale from hard rock to the "blues" and just depending what kind of mood I'm into tht particular day. Just love music all kinds except rap--hate that --just full of violence and sounds like it's full of hate--for God's sake if I listen to music I need something to either boost me up positively or soothe the worries of this difficult world we live in.

Almost everything including classical, jazz, blues, big band, Broadway rock and roll, rhythm & blues, doo wop, soul, folk, country (pre 90's mostly) alternative, heavy metal, punk & new wave, old school rap & hiphop etc I feel it's important to be open to listening to a wide variey of musical genres and not limit oneself.
My personal collection includes over 20000 songs from all of the above categories.
However, I don't think most of today's popular music can measure up to that of the 20th century and before. Most of it is either full of obscene language or references to violence or totally boring to listen to!

I'm pretty much open when it comes to music. But my favorites would be new age (Enya, Gregorian, Enigma, etc.), Alternative and Powermetal. The only music which I couldn't tolerate is rap today. I think it's crude, the lyrics are vapid (talking about money, cars, etc.) and they portray women in a negative light especially in their videos. c",)

grunge/ punk/ emo/ rock/ indie/ alternative/ screamo/ metalcore/ alternative metal..etc. But I also like classical/blues/folk. umm...I like grunge mostly because it makes me feel...in a weired way at home..I don't even know how to describe it. emo..as much as people may hate it, is really good music. I just like beacause it seems to have meaning and I like the way they sing.

Well I respect and enjoy all kinds, but country just happens to be my fav. b/c it's what I was raised on, and the songs have meaning!

i like a lot of different songs. here are my favs:
1) Boston by Augustana
2) Fields of Gold by Sting
3) Here in Your Arms by Hellogoodbye
I like them all because of the lyrics mostly.
