My friend has recently had a baby and always said she would have a boob lift after the birth (she is blessed, like me, with rather large ones!). She went to a see a surgeon (a very reputable one too) for a consultation before making her decision but decided against it as the procedure is very invasive.
In most cases they have to completely remove the nipple, which causes a big drop in sensation, and due to the way the lift is achieved can cause scarring (which is worse than an enhancement). The surgeon also explained that it will only last around 10 years and then the procedure has to be done again.
It's something I've always contemplated when I get older but after speaking to my friend i think I will stick with 'I must improve my bust' exercises and a good bra! I talked it through with my hubby and he said he would not be happy about me going through that sort of surgery just for cosmetic reasons.
If you do want to go through with the procedure definitely wait until after you have had children but my advice would be not too just because of the surgery involved.

A qualified Physician should be able to answer all of your questions.
Most people are advised that you may NOT be able to nurse a baby if you have surgery to reduce, or change the size of your breasts. These surgeries can remove or damage the system of ducts that carry the milk.
***********ADDITIONAL INFO***************
With EVERY BREAST surgery, there will be an interruption of the breast tissue. The DUCTS that carry milk are ALL THROUGH the breast TISSUE!!!!! OF COURSE YOUR NIPPLE WILL NOT BE REMOVED!!! but if a doctor tells you that he will not remove milk ducts he is not 100% accurate. If any breast tissue is cut or removed, there is the POSSIBILITY that you WILL NOT be completely successful with breast feeding.
Some women have some milk production after surgery, but not enough to totally feed a baby---you may need to supplement with bottles of formula. Some women can give the baby the first---premilk---colostrum, and not be able to do more than that.
Some women can produce enough milk, but usually it not possible to exclusively breast feed a baby.
Many women wait till they are done having children. Then if you have a breast 'lift' you do not have to worry about these issues.

Check that site out about breastfeeding after reduction/lift. If breastfeeding is very important to you you could always wait until after you are done having children (your breasts will grow a little bit during that time and end up sagging after all the milk is gone).
Even though you just want a lift (or an augmentation too?) that site is an interesting read.
Scars are not that bad, they take about a year to fade away (so no bikini wearing for a year as it could turn your scars permanently red). I had a reduction with lift and my scars are 95% gone.
I have great nipple sensation. Sometimes it takes over a year to get nipple sensation back.

I'm not sure about the correct medical advise on this but a friend of my had her boobs done and afterwards she said when her boyfriend had a good old play with them it was like tuning in the local radio station, hence the feeling in them wasn't great and i was thinking along the lines of no feeling or sensation in them will hinder breast feeding i know she had to bottle feed her little one but not sure if this was down to choice or not.

Of course - it is a complete wase of time to have a boob lift and then have children. Your skin will just be double stretched. Wait until your boobs have been completely destroyed by having kids and then have them put back together again.

Most docs will tell you this doesn't effect breast feeding. I would definitely wait to have it done after having kids or you'll just be wasting your money and time. Good Luck

Why aren't you happy with what you've been given? if you're a nice person inside does it matter?
