It has been a trend in history, granting individuals rights and it is a very good thing. If i would have lived back in the day, i would have been all for black rights, and women rights. Even though i don´t agree with people being gay, i do think they should have the right to get married if they want.I agree with animal rights to a certain degree and i´ll let it go at that.

But with all the new technology and AI, and when the day comes that robots and computers can really think for themselves, will these machines ever be granted "rights" such as humans and "animals" have been granted?

would you be in support or against robot rights?

That would depend on the idiots in that particular society, who believe that robots are alive or give them that status. If the society as a whole for a particular country does not see that entity as a person, then, no they would not have any "rights"...that only a person in that society have.
