your shoe may make small squeak-like noises because they're not "broken in" yet. "broken in" means the bottom of the shoe is flexible and not stiff. the noise, i think, comes from the sole of your shoe. you might have some air thats being compressed everytime you step down. only way to not make your shoe from squeaking is to just walk more until your shoes, hopefully, get broken in

new shoes can do that and it's very annoying. try putting a thumbtack in the soul where the sound comes from. make sure the point does not come up through the sole. you don't want to walk on that.

I have had this prob. myself, and it seems only to occur in cheaper shoes, i thinkl, because the soles aren't really rubber, they are more like a plastic texture. I got rid of mine, it annoyed me to much, an was embarrassing to me.

yes, leather shoes squeek, even if their not new especially in closed areas with marble floors. in malls or airports, it sholud go away or you will learn to filter it out eventually.
