Never delete Internet Explorer, it is part of your operating system and once you delete it you will ruin your computer. Simply open up the browser in Firefox. I've never really heard of it, so someday you may want to go back to Internet Explorer again.

like everyone else has said I too do not recommened removing it, however it is your computer.

So if you go to the control panel>add remove programs, the third tab down is add remove windows componets. Scroll down to find internet explorer and uncheck the little box to the left of it. then go down and click next.

This will delete internet Explorer, it will no longer be on the desktop, start menu, or in the task manager. If you are having problems running other programs that use IE then simply go and reinstall it by doing the same steps as above and the making sure that the box is checked before you click next.

You must never delete Internet Explorer. It's part of the Windows OS and is needed for important Windows Security Updates.

It doesn't matter how many different browsers you instal (i.e. firefox, maxthon, opera etc), but you must keep IE.

I use Firefox too. I prefer it over IE for browsing.
It's not a good idea to delete IE.
Some sites and web pages require IE.
Just make Firefox your default browser and keep IE in case you need it.

Go to Add Remove and Remove the IE under Add Remove Windows Components.
Removing IE will be possible, but remember that IE has an engine that runs things like Outlook Express. Some other components will go as well. Firefox will take over, but remember if it affects too many items, it is an easy thing to add it back in, just do not choose your IE as your Main Browser

As much as I dislike IE too, I think it would be better to not remove it from your system. As other posters have mentioned, IE is currently the only browser that is used for important updates. Some sites and net services also don't work with firefox. cough *launchcast radio* cough*. c",)

The IE7 uninstallation goes as follows

-click on Start > Run
type the following (ther are additional spaces after \ to make them display on this page, you can skip them while typing)

You can often uninstall any upgrades to IE beyond what came with the OS, but you can not completely uninstall IE from Windows.

You can't delete it, it's part of Windows.
