Isn't it awful? I have the same responsibility in my area. Whew!
Running other people's lives is tough. . . .deciding what's best for them and keeping them out of trouble. Don't smoke that, put that beer down, quit looking at those movies, brush your teeth, fight the terrorists over there so we don't have to fight them over here, buy this car instead of that one, don't wear your hair like that, drive slower, drive faster, shop here, vote for this guy, don't ask questions, you're having too much sex, you're not having enough sex, you're having sex with the wrong person, sex is evil, use Sprint instead of Cellular South, eat at Wendy's, DO NOT wash mixed colors together. Bush is Jesus, Bush is Satan, Bush is just some guy that wound up President, Bush doesn't exist, Bush is really Clinton, Clinton is stupid, Madeline Albright is a Klingon, fat girsl are really better looking than slender girls, men are evil, cats are better than dogs, lift with your legs not your back . . .
It is EXHAUSTING, and it goes on and on and on and on.
Thankfully, folks like us are here to keep this world together.
Hang in there, Buddy. These morons are lost without us.
