my dr is doing a partial hysterectomy next week but leaving my ovaries in. can they take out your uterus but leave in your ovaries

Definitely. That is what they always do, unless the ovaries themselves are diseased. The ovaries and uterus are separate entities; leaving the ovaries in is a very good thing.

I had a hysterectomy to boot, partial and my cat scans tutor that I certainly have a uterus. My ob physician pronounced because of the fact I had a partial there's a stump left from the well-being practitioner. ( a factor of uterus it incredibly is hooked as much as my cervix). there is sufficient of that piece left to make it seem as I certainly have a uterus on my cat test. I even have menstrual cycles because of the fact there is sufficient endometrial tissue on that stump to make my have a cycle.

yes, they leave the ovaries so they can still make the estrogen that your body needs

Absolutely. My mom had that done. It is usually better for the woman that way, because then you still have normal hormone production.
